The world seems so quiet when everything is covered in a blanket of snow. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could live in a kind of winter wonderland where everything looks pristine and beautiful?
But, unless you live in the tropics, winter often looks like this:

The bustle of the world soon resumes as we try to shovel cars and sidewalks in order to get to work and to school. After a cold day of shoveling, scraping, and walking through snow, it feels good to warm ourselves up with a steaming bowl of chicken soup.

It is also helpful to eat as many fresh fruits and vegetables as are available at this time of year.
While some would warm up with a cup of coffee or a mug of hot chocolate, a cup of herb tea with lemon and honey will help deal with any infections that are prevalent during the winter. Mint tea is always good if you don't have a specific herb in mind. Since I have herbs growing in my garden, I dried a few during the autumn for times like this.
Get plenty of rest so that you will have strength for tomorrow and so that you will be able to resist illness. Snuggle in with the assurance that Jesus provided in John 14:27: "27) Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." (New King James Version)
BIBLE VERSE FOR THIS POSTING
John 14:27 "27) Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." (New King James Version)
"La paz os dejo, mi paz os doy; yo no os la doy como el mundo la da. No se turbe vuestro corazón, ni tenga miedo. La paz os dejo, mi paz os doy; yo no os la doy como el mundo la da. No se turbe vuestro corazón, ni tenga miedo." (Reina-Valera 1960)
