EVERYONE MUST START SOMEWHERE

Do you have a homepage?

It’s a question that my husband and I have heard for a long time. The problem is that we have a life that involves our daily Bible study, a family, a home, a yard, a church, and other commitments. Still, we have known for some time that one day we would launch a website because we know that you have such commitments, too.

There may be times when you feel overwhelmed, so we want to offer you words of encouragement. We feel it is appropriate to reach out to you with a website because we cannot be everywhere. Yes, we have spoken to groups and will continue to accept speaking engagements as the Lord allows and provides, but many of you may never hear us except through our recordings, as they become available. It may be a while before we can make recordings available through the Internet because we are just getting started here. However, please know that you are always on our minds. My husband and I pray for you as you access our website.

When you are feeling overwhelmed, please remember Deuteronomy 31:6, "Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you." (NKJV)

Those were the words that Moses spoke to the Israelites at the end of their 40 years of wandering in the desert as they were about to cross over the Jordan River into the land that God had promised them. Like them, you may be about to come into the blessing that God has prepared for you. In such cases, there are usually battles ahead, as there were for the Israelite people. Nothing worth having comes easily, but you must remember that God is with you, no matter what you face.

After Moses spoke those words of encouragement to the Israelites, whom he had led out of Egypt and through the desert, then he turned to Joshua, to whom he (Moses) was handing over the leadership. Deuteronomy 31:8 describes the scene, "Then Moses called Joshua and said to him in the sight of all Israel, 'Be strong and of good courage, for you must go with this people to the land which the LORD has sworn to their fathers to give them, and you shall cause them to inherit it.'" (NKJV)

Whether your position of leadership is that of a parent guiding your children through scraped knees and homework or you hold a position of management in a company, rest assured that God is leading you. Turn to Him every morning and dedicate the day to Him, as well as every word you will speak that day.

That’s what we want to do right now. My husband and I dedicate this website to the Lord in this, our first posting. Although the address has my name on it, it isn’t about me. It isn’t about us, the Webbs, nor is it for us. It is about the Lord and is for Him, even if there are days when our posting may not contain a Bible verse. It is still about Him and for Him.

We want our words to lift you up. To that end, the current message you see here will change as we offer you more encouragement. Come back to see what new encouragement we have for you.

You can encourage us, too. Let us know when we post something that inspires you or that touches your heart. You can do that by sending us an email.

If you want to know who we are, check out "About Us," which is one the links in the upper-left-hand corner of this page. Please pray for us as we continue to develop this website. Our goal is to encourage you in your journey through life.
